Etc. Etc. Etc..

In case you missed it:

** Before it’s too late, cast your vote for the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. AWARDS 2010. Find the ballot at HowardNeu.com, e-mail your submission to [email protected] by 8pm tomorrow (Wednesday).   Among the nominees for the ‘Domainer of the Year’ award are Morgan Linton, Elliot Silver, Larry Fischer, Mike Berkens and several others.  Winners will be announced at TRAFFIC South Beach.

** Rick Latona just announced that Latonas.com auction and e-mail newsletters will be switching to a once a week format.  In his explanation for the reason behind the change he stated:

The biggest [reason] is that its too difficult to ensure quality in the listings trying to run them daily. I don’t think anyone wants to be bombarded with emails full of crummy domains.

** Francois also announced he has discontinued the ClosingAuctions.com e-mail newsletter that domaining.com members were automatically opted in for.  Another change from Francois is that there is now a membership level requirement you must meet before buying and selling on the BargainDomains.com platform.  I will probably be purchasing the ‘domainer’ package soon as it allows you to list up to 1000 domains/year and also gives you access to other features like privacy and access to TrafficDomains.com.

** Popular domain forum, NamePros.com has been down for over 36 hours now.  I have one uncompleted transaction that I can’t finish until the site is back up.  I sent a twitter message to @domainbuyer hoping to get an explanation of what’s going on.  I’m sure NP will be back up soon. [edit] It’s back up!

** There are a couple new (or just new to me) domain related blogs that have caught my attention recently.  If you’re bored, here are a couple good reads:  From PPCIan.com, I just enjoyed his article titled “I Own Shares In Inflection.com“.  Nadia over at DomainSushi.com has been writing some really resourceful articles, yesterday I read “Get More Followers With This Simple Change to Your Contact Form“.  Also, I wanted to mention that WebValueInvestor.com delivered a well written and controversial article that domainers should read “Sell Domains. Raise cash. Prepare to feast.

** By now you probably know that Godaddy.com launched their URL shortening service using x.co, but did you know that Paypal owns x.com? It’s being used to promote their ‘Paypal Developers Conference’ which is being held in San Francisco on October 26-27th.
