Random Thoughts – Setting Goals

I chuckled with fellow domainer, Jason over his comic strip the other day at dnpimping.com.  That got me thinking about how I need to focus my time better when developing out parts of my portfolio.  I’ve always believed that by setting goals and putting them out there for myself and others to refer back to help me achieve the financial success my portfolio deserves.

Goals:

1) 1-2 new nicely developed minisites a week. I know I keep talking about Noomle, and I really am excited to use their service much much more.  I’ve gotta stop delaying and take the time to get more of those minisites up!  They are nice little earners.   This is my number one goal because at this point I have totally neglected minisite development from my portfolio over the past three months. Timeframe: weekly

2) I desperately need to research and finally choose an affiliate marketing vertical, attack it with a website and targeted domains. Rinse, repeat.  Many see affiliate marketing as an immoral way to make lots of money.  I will say that there are immoral practices in affiliate marketing that I will not be involved in but if someone wants a product they see on my website – why shouldn’t I get paid some commission? – even if the website only exists for that reason. Timeframe: 2 months
