That’s right! If you look through the published lists of domain names to be auctioned off by Rick Latona Auctions and Moniker during the upcoming T.R.A.F.F.I.C. conference in New York you will find at least one .us, .info, .cc and .cm domain name. 🙂
In addition to the stunning NewYorkCity.cc, here are a few others from Rick Latona Auctions worth mentioning:
SM.com
Rio.com
Coed.com
Draw.com
Hell.com
Dancing.com
Dabatase.com
GolfClubs.com
The reserve ranges on these domains look very reasonable and as Rick mentioned in his blog post, they intend to start the auction bidding in the mentioned ranges. I’ll be interested to see which domains from the inventory create heated bidding wars. The Rick Latona auction is scheduled for October 27th @ 4:30 pm.
In a crafty move, Moniker added Business.cm, Education.cm, and Insurance.cm to their auction catalog for the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. auction. Other domains in the auction set are one word .coms like:
Bands.com
Fiction.com
Photo.com
Stage.com
Tube.com
As with many of these auctions, lots of these premium names will go unsold. However, I predict there will be at least one multi million dollar sale as a result of the auctions. Of course, there will be some excellent deals to be had too!
Thanks for letting me know about the auctions, some interesting names for sure. I think .net will be the star of this year’s Moniker auction, necklace.net and lingerie.net are great candidates for a mid 6 figure sale (you just can’t go wrong selling products which appeal to a female audience :)).
Rick Latona’s auction features a few very nice geos, both Moniker and Rick have managed to secure impressive domains (a lot of them have never been on the market and if it weren’t for the economic climate we’re dealing with, they would have probably stayed off the reseller market for good).
@MNH – You’re welcome! I agree that the two .nets you mentioned should fetch a nice price. Looking at the list of words above you do have to think to yourself “would these really be for sale in a better economic climate?”.
Is it too late to submit domains for this auction? If not, where can I read the terms of the auction and the submission page? Thanks!
Anthony, I’m pretty sure that the submissions are closed since the inventory is already released. Next time I’ll blog about the submission period before it’s too late.
Thanks Mike!
