Thanks to all of the coverage by Michael Berkens on the .co landrush auctions, we are seeing many Colorado cities + .co extension selling for great prices. Since I reside in Colorado, I am especially interested to see which, if any of these will be developed into standalone websites. In case you’ve been scratching your head wondering why Colorado cities + .co are so hot, it’s because CO is our official state abbreviation. Denver.CO looks more like it belongs on an envelope with a stamp instead of in the URL bar.
According to Mike’s post yesterday, Denver.co is still at auction in the mid $30k range. To have access to these private auctions, you must have already filed an application with .co to bid. Here are other reported Colorado cities + .co sales:
Aspen.co $22,500
Breckenridge.co $8,499
Steamboat.co $3,600
Boulder.co $17,000
Durango.co $2,850
Telluride.co $5,100
ColoradoSprings.co $couldn’t find this one but I’m pretty sure it sold already in the $x,xxx range
Colorado.co $7,900
I understand the auctions are being released in alphabetical order so we are anticipating Vail.co to sell for a nice figure (probably less than Aspen.co) in the coming weeks. Anyone care to guess what Denver.co final price will be? I think it will get a couple more bids and move closer to the $50k mark.
Totally agree. $50 Gs seems about right.
40k, the current bid.
