According to the Sedo.com market activity report, Business.me has sold for €40,000 which converts to just over $55,000. If you recall, this name was sold during .ME premium auction last November for $4,010. Not sure who the buyer/sellers are but definitely a great ROI for the seller. The whois shows it is in transfer as of 9/14/2011.
This isn’t the only name that came out of the premium .ME auction that has been flipped, I’ve seen several in the last few months come up but this one is by far the largest sale. I think this is also the largest ever .ME domain sale ever. I’m not sure about that, I sent a message to the folks at .ME to confirm.
With the Business.co selling a few months ago for around $60K, you should see all the other Business. names moving up also.
Very nice sale.
I’m no fan of .ME, and only have one (Graphen.Me). But maybe this will establish a good benchmark for future sales of this extention.
Update: was just informed by .ME that the highest publicized sale to date is Date.me for $70k. I had forgotten about this one.
but here is the news-after huge success of a viral video on youtube gamer commute, somebody is acquiring gamercommute.com to develop a site for gamer, I have no Idea but rumors are gamercommute.com is going to sell for $100,000 because it has already popular in more than five million people, if it is for real then it is going to be one of the biggest deal of the year…
@dirtydomainer – what’s this have to do with business.me?
Business.me sale gives me hope one the one I have been holding smartphones.me – I am seeking out the right buyer w/ $5K reserve. The com version was registered way back in 1997.
