Coming through the Sedo sales wire this morning you will find a couple nice five figure sales reported including CRMSoftware.com which, according to Sedo, has sold for $40k. CRM stands for customer relationship management, a very common term and type of software in the sales niche. The buyer is Philadelphia dentist, Anthony Lam. Anthony is also a domain name investor and clued us in on his recent acquisition in the comment section of Elliot’s recent acquisitions post yesterday.
The other big sale reported by Sedo recently was Bike-Components.com which sold for €32,850 (approx $42,478). Surprised to see a hyphenated .com sell for so much? It’s actually not too surprising considering the end user is German company that operates Bike-Components.de (the .com now forwards to the .de) and Germans seem to have an affinity for hyphenated names. The unhyphenated .com version – BikeComponents.com remains a Sedo parked page. It makes you wonder what kind of offer was made on that name, if any.
One more sale I saw on the Sedo market activity page this morning was MonkeyMail.com which sold for just over $10k. Another nice animal+keyword .com sale. The name was registered in 1998 and is currently in Sedo transfer according to domaintools.
