Nominations Open for Lonnie Borck Memorial Award

Nominations are currently being accepted for the Lonnie Borck Memorial Award. You can nominate someone for the award using this Google documents form. The award is sponsored by the Internet Commerce Association with the support of NamesCon. The award is presented to an individual for contributions to domain investor rights. The deadline for receipt of nominations is November 1, 2018.  The recipient will be announced at the NamesCon meeting in Las Vegas Jan 27-30, 2018.

The award was established by the Internet Commerce Association to honour the memory of the late Lonnie Borck, the President of B52 Media at the time of his death. Ron Jackson describes Lonnie Borck as the “great domain investor with a golden heart.”  He passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 47 in 2016.  Ron Jackson wrote about Lonnie Borck in this excellent article.

This is the third year for the award.  Last year’s recipient was Kathy Kleiman, while the initial winner was David Weslow.
