Here’s a reminder that 115 previously reserved .TV domains will be auctioned off for a weeks duration with the bidding starting on April 1st. Mark Klein from Sedo has confirmed that the reserve prices for all auctions will all be less than $5,000. I’ve noticed the last few days more action already on .TV auctions going on this week. Below is a list of current .tv auctions that are live on Sedo right now. The second list is the Sedo auction inventory which include top .TV domains like cable.tv, home.tv, germany.tv, jobs.tv and re.tv among others.
I should also note that a member of namepros has been working with other forum members to compile a list of .tv domains with starting bid prices that will be listed at Sedo at the same time. Check out that list HERE.

Given the activity on NP’s .TV subforum, one could say that domainer interest in .TV domains has spiked the last couple weeks. Well, the acquisition of thousands of .TV domains in a period of perhaps 72 hours says someone was buying. It will be interesting to see if there will be follow-through with this auction and the concurrent NP .TV auction. The first week of April should be interesting…
Hi Leonard, thanks for the comment. Yes, interest has spiked and also many domainers that have been actively speculating in this extension have really loaded up on some .tv domains over the last few weeks IMO. I only got a couple gold rush domains myself. I think gold rush period on the 18th provided domainers a great opportunity to catch some great deals. The buzz is still resonating and now I am seeing lots of mediocre .tv’s being scooped up for standard regree.
This is good for both the extension and of course Verisign. Aftermarket activity will pick up this year as more domainers see it as a better investment now. I hope we see some good results from the auction next week.
