Final Four and Domain Madness 3 Auction Underway

The Domain Madness 3 auction is underway at Boxcar.com and will end with a live broadcast from the Palms in Las Vegas on April 5th.  In total there are 64 names at auction including some whoppers like Pig.com, MensJewelry.com, Irons.com, LimoRentals.com and FinancialPlanners.com.  As of the time of this post two names have bids on them – EliminateDebts.com and BroadbandProviders.com, both have one bid each at $1500.  I think there will be some good action on the final day of this auction as there are many names that are priced to sell.

Domain Madness 2 auction was the venue of one of the biggest and most talked about domain flips in 2010, with the sale of CamRoulette.com selling for $151,000.   Read more about that sale.  Mike Fiol of Domain Consultant decided to have some fun with DM3 this year and added a $1,000 contest for the person who most accurately guesses the domains that will sell in the 2011 DM3 auction.

I am in the contest and didn’t choose any six figure names to sell this year.  Based on my picks, I predict that MensJewelry.com will be the highest sale of the auction ($45k reserve).  Since the Domain Madness is themed around the March Madness NCAA tourney, I might as well throw in my final four prediction too.  The final four begins today and I think it will be Kentucky vs. Butler in the Final with Kentucky taking home the NCAA Championship.  What do you think the highest sale in DM3 will be and your final four predictions??
