Today I visited DNFblog.com to re-read one of the articles posted by Puranjay, the main contributing editor. When I arrived to DNFBlog.com I was surprised to see that it has expired and the site resolves to Godaddy’s expired name page.
A couple weeks ago Morgan wrote a post “What Happened to DNFBlog?” As Morgan mentioned, DNFBlog came out of the gates as one of the most active domain blogs in 2012. Puranjay AKA Sashas on DNForum is a seasoned domainer who has great insight to domain investing and incredible blogging skills. I enjoyed many of the articles written by Puranjay over the last few months.
The history behind DNFblog.com is certainly interesting. It was about one year ago that Adam Dicker, founder of DNForum.com started a thread on DNForum.com titled “Newsflash: just because you can install wordpress you are not a domain expert!” That post has since been removed from the forum but HybridDomainer archived it in case you weren’t able to read it.
After a lot of varying responses to that thread and some correspondence with popular domain bloggers, Dicker changed his tone and has since had several guest appearances on domain industry blogs, including one that he originally called out, DomainSherpa.com.
It was most interesting when Dicker announced in January that DNForum would be launching a blog and hiring forum members to post quality content articles. According to this thread on DNF, the goal was to hire up to 20 bloggers and pay them $20 per quality article. What came out of that search was one exceptional blogger that would contribute over 150 articles between Jan 12th and May 1st.
It’s a shame that none of that content is available to read on that blog right now. I have no idea what happened, but Puranjay certainly isn’t actively posting on DNFBlog anymore and hasn’t since May 1. Perhaps the site will be back up soon with new authors but finding a writer that can blog about the domain industry/domain investing so well will not be easy.

@Redspell – Yep looks to be back online. It had been expired since 6/1. I also agree that the intro video by the guy in the blue shirt is very annoying. It’s definitely deterring many visitors from returning.
Is DNFBlog.com still down for you? It’s currently resolving from here.
@Joe – Yup back up, according to domaintools the domain was updated on 6/2, which means it was probably renewed yesterday.
I’ve just noticed that the actual DN is on sale at showcasemanager.com [BIN is almost 49K]. Sooner or later someone will buy it. Really pity, Puranjay’s posts are superb, I will really miss them if he stops blogging.
