Facebook recently won a case and has been awarded the typo Facebok.com according to WIPO.int. As I write this post now the domain actually re-directs to onlyspecialoffers.info which serves as an advertisement trap that is laid over the facebook.com homepage.
This is only the second domain that Facebook has gone after in 2010 according to UDRPsearch. Earlier this year they won the domain name Facebook.me which currently does not resolve.
Wow, I can imagine the typo traffic that the owner was getting. Looks like he was monetizing it with survey offers. He had to be clearing at least a grand a day if I took a guess.
Chris, according to compete.com the facebok site is currently getting around 2k uniques.. but last December there was a massive spike in traffic.
