WeddingCoordinator.com Sells for $7k at T.R.A.F.F.I.C.

WeddingCoordinator.com – sold for $7,000 in the live auction. I like this domain and think someone got a nice deal.

BVI.com/.co was a big sale from Tuesday, the LLL combo sold for $110,000. Shock.com sold for $200,000 which was the largest sale from the Miami event. Also, Idle.com sold at $20,000, Coches.co drove home $15,000 and Taxidermist.com stuffed $11,000. Another LLL combination MHZ.com/.co reached $15,000.

The flowers.mobi sale is getting the most attention from the auction due to the saga behind the domain that keeps getting more and more interesting. Rick Schwartz, the Founder of the Targeted T.R.A.F.F.I.C. Conference bought the domain for $200k in 2006 at a T.R.A.F.F.I.C. auction. Four years later he has sold it at the same venue for $6500. The buyer? He’s perhaps the biggest anti domaining commenter on the most popular domain blogs who goes by the handle ‘Anunt’. George Kirikos brought up another interesting piece of info about flowers.mobi on DomainState this morning.

Overall, the live auction results were a little on the light side. Rick even addressed that the auction system will be changing from the ‘ground up’ in his post this morning where he asked for feedback from T.R.A.F.F.I.C. attendees.

  • flowers.mobi was pigeon shit… and rick wasn’t afraid to dump it in public… gutsy… that’s why he is one of the best

  • Hi, Mike. It’s funny, WeddingCoordinator also caught my eye – I tweeted about it during the auction (which I was following, but not present for). I have ties to the wedding business and thought that was a great deal for that name.

I thought it was pretty ironic that Anunt ended up with Flowers.mobi – probably out of spite.

The overall results of the auction are very light now the deals on Shock.com & BVI didn’t close. As usual, some of the reserve prices were way too high, but there were a few names I was surprised didn’t sell (Financing.co.uk, Lending.co.uk, Gambling.co, and a few others).

  • Hi Nadia, yes it’s too bad that Shock and BVI were both put back into the extended auction due to ‘fraudulent bidding’.

Here I thought I was the only one thinking that weddingcoordinator.com sold cheaply, glad I’m not the only one. šŸ™‚
